RFU Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport Level 2 Instructor
Ben is currently a lecturer in Sport Rehabilitation at the University of Hull. He is nearing the completion of his PhD looking at infrared thermal imaging of the Achilles tendon. Ben’s main clinical interests lie in exercise-based rehabilitation, injuries in runners, adolescent injuries, tendon injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation.
Since graduating, alongside setting up the MSR clinics, Ben has worked in both rugby union and football. Ben currently works for Sedgley Tigers RUFC with the first XV. Ben is now an instructor for the RFU delivering their Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport course which focuses on the pitch side management of injured athletes. Previously, Ben has worked in research and therapy positions with Blackburn Rovers FC academy investigating the effects of growth, injury and performance in adolescent athletes, as well as working with FC United of Manchester.
