The typical method which Stuart utilizes is clinical assessment, weight-bearing observations, and dynamic analysis-all of which involve outcome measures. The dynamic aspect is covered by something known as a Gait Analysis. This is essentially a method used to observe the way an individual walks and determine whether or not that this is a key factor in the injury presentation. In light of the analysis, we will recommend specific treatment and rehabilitation to help reduce injury risk and improve performance.
We use Optogait 2D Infrared Gait Analysis, which is an excellent patient education tool. It allows you to be fully involved in the treatment process and justify spending money on an orthotic prescription if required.
